Center Point Suspension

Center Point Suspension
Patent Applied For

The revolutionary new Trailair Center Point suspension gives new meaning to comfort for standard leaf spring suspensions. The enhanced dampening and equalization permits the axles to work together, not oppose each other like standard spring suspensions.

Components of the Center Point Suspension System

Center Point Diagram

Air Spring

On the opposite ends of the rotating cross shafts resides a single air spring. The unique horizontal position not only allows one air spring to dampen two axles, it dissapates force without transmitting it to the trailer frame.

Frame Hanger Insert

The Center Point assembly is inserted into the center toggle hanger of the suspension. The original pivot bolt is utilized along with two additional clamping bolts and plates to increase stability.

Leaf Spring Shackle Mount

The leaf spring shackle mounts to the cross shaft which is equipped with a brass bushing.

Safety Stops

You don’t have to worry about downtime from an air leak with Center Point’s safety system. The arms are shaped so the air spring cannot collapse and damage itself. The shape will allow for oscillation during travel.

Center Shaft

As each spring reacts, load impacts are allowed to transmit that reaction to the cross shaft. This cross shaft rotates on a pair of bronze alumimun bearings and brings that force into the air spring.
